Peter Rufai Recovers and Discharged From Hospital After Slump

Peter Rufai, the former Super Eagles goalkeeper who slumped and went into coma on Monday, has been discharged from hospital.

Bruce, the younger brother of the former Super Eagles skipper confirmed to PREMIUM TIMES  on Wednesday that the World Cup goalkeeper has since left the Toki hospital in Surelere having been well attended to by family doctors who now believe he is fit to go home to recuperate.

According to Bruce, Peter Rufai was much better and needed very little or no form of assistance to move in and out of bed at home.
“He has been discharged, he is much better now”. Bruce said.
“We are happy he left the hospital on his feet, even though we have not been told what went wrong with him. We are just glad he recovered enough to recognize everyone, and the hospital decided he will gain full recovery better in familiar surroundings, that was why he was discharged”.

Bruce assured that the family would ensure Peter Rufai relaxes his highly demanding schedules, which include coaching clinic across the country, to enable him get the deserved rest recommended by doctors.
“The doctors made it clear to us he has to rest, so that is our focus. We also don’t want to lose him, so all those projects and engagements will understandably have to wait a while.”

We wish a quick recovery
